Since joining St. John’s Church in 2017, he has overseen operations with the steady approach of a servant leader, managing finances, facilities, and strategic planning with humility and persistence. His ability to navigate challenges with honesty and self-reflection has defined his approach as Chief Operating Officer. Raised in a close-knit family in Canton, Connecticut, Preston’s journey reflects the values instilled by his parents, Richard and Mary, and his sister Jean. He is a proud alumnus of Avon Old Farms School and Skidmore College, where he cultivated lifelong friendships and a strong sense of discipline. Golf has remained a lifelong passion, symbolizing both his competitive drive and love for balance and focus. Preston’s philanthropic efforts, including contributions to education and athletics, mirror his belief in giving back. Most importantly, he treasures his wife, Merrell, and their children, Grace and Hayden, as the true source of his inspiration and purpose.
